![]() Jessica Sivillo is a 2L at Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Tampa Bay. She graduated as the Valedictorian from The University of Tampa with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. The University of Tampa's Law, Justice, and Advocacy program sparked Jessica's interest in becoming an attorney. She has always been passionate about advocacy, and she loves to write. Jessica is a Staff Writer for Cooley's newspaper, The Cooley Pillar. She also serves as the President of Cooley's Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL) Chapter. She is the Vice President of Cooley's Help Save the Next Girl (HSTNG) Chapter. She serves as a Student Liaison for the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Law School Affiliates. Jessica is a member of Cooley's Moot Court Board. She served on the Student Bar Association's Executive Board as the Secretary for one year. Jessica worked as a Summer Associate for Manta Law firm, and she assisted with a disability rights appeal. Jessica is from Cleveland, Ohio. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to the beach, and exercising. She is passionate about working with local organizations to combat human trafficking. She volunteers with the S.O.A.P. (Save Our Adolescents from Prostitution) Project to spread awareness and to educate the community about the warning signs of human trafficking. As an attorney, Jessica hopes to aid survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. She looks forward to working with Journey to Esquire as a blog writer this semester.
