The Journey to Esquire: Scholarship & Leadership Program provides academic and
professional development for students interested in becoming lawyers.

Meet our Class of 2023

Jessica Sivillo
WMU Cooley Law School
Jessica Sivillo graduated from WMU Cooley Law School in April 2023. She received her B.A.
in Communication from the University of Tampa. She is from Ohio. Jessica started out as an
intern and worked on the Blog in her second year in law school. Once she became a Scholar,
she embraced our IDEALS wholeheartedly; she took on leadership roles with The Florida
Association of Women Lawyers, starting the first chapter for her law school and winning an
award for her efforts. She sat for the Florida Bar Exam in July 2023 and will began working as a
staff attorney with the 13th Judicial Circuit in August 2023.
WMU Cooley Law School
Jessica Sivillo graduated from WMU Cooley Law School in April 2023. She received her B.A.

Logan Jackson
Stetson University College of Law
Logan Jackson graduated from Stetson University College of Law in May 2022. She graduated
from Loyola University New Orleans with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a Concentration in
Social Justice and Inequalities. She is originally from St. Louis, MO. She graduated law school a
two-time champion on Stetson Law’s renowned trial team, President of the Black Law Students
Association (BLSA), where she spearheaded a gala featuring the founder of Stetson’s BLSA
chapter, she wrote and secured publication of her article on reproductive rights in the
prestigious Berkeley Journal of Gender, Law & Justice, she interviewed one of her mentors,
Professor Judith Scully, head of the Social Justice Advocacy Program at Stetson and a
seasoned civil rights lawyer, and she has secured a position with the State Attorney’s Office in
Orlando, Florida as a prosecutor her dream job. The program helped her transform her law school experience,
and she emerged as a leader and a mentor and now inspires other students to do the same.
